Joanna E. Beaver, 84, of Palmyra, WI passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born on December 26, 1939 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Sobolik) Cichantek. Joanna grew up in the Cudahy area and on January 11, 1958, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Donald E. Beaver at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Rome, WI. Joanna and Donald would go on to enjoy 65 years of marriage together and God blessed their union with three children, Roger, Donald, Jr., and Jeffery. Joanna worked as a Supervisor in factories for the majority of her working career and retired with Generac. She had a strong work ethic and enjoyed her career. The job Joanna loved most though was being a wife to her husband and a mom, grandma, and great grandma. She was happiest spending time with those she loved and she took excellent care of her family, always putting other’s needs in front of her own. Joanna particularly loved the Christmas season and spending the holidays with her family. Some of her interests included crocheting, playing Bingo, fishing with her husband, bird watching and collecting bird figurines. Joanna also loved people and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. She also had a strong faith and loved God. Joanna will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those she leaves behind.
She is survived by: her loving husband, Donald Beaver, Sr. of Palmyra, WI, her two sons, Roger (Gail) of Cambridge, and Donald (Barbara) Beaver, Jr. of Palmyra; her grandchildren, Heather (Alex), Heidi (Robert), Joshua (Angie), Daryl (Amy), Alexander, and Justin (Amber); her great-grandchildren, Taylor, Maxwell, Samuel, Lucille, Dakota, Brynn, Kaci, Mackenzie, Kaiden, and Wes; and her sisters, Pauline Rapp, Delores Grabarczyk, and Elaine Walling. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Joanna is preceded in death by her parents, her dear son, Jeffery, and her siblings, Jerry, Robert, Rosalie, Sofie, and Mary Ann.
Per her wishes, no formal services will be held.
Memorials in Joanna’s honor may be made to Rainbow Hospice.
